how did you get so many followers and so many notes on your photos??? :)
I've always focused on posting quality work rather than just going by the quantity of posts and I try my best to stay active as much as possible. Photography is something that I'm passionate about so I love sharing my work and helping raise awareness and inspiring others along the way. I try and reach out and make friends with the lovely people on here and I make it a point to try and reply to all the messages I get. I also submit my work to various tumblr photography groups and that really helps a lot exposure wise; plus you get to meet a lot of like-minded individuals on there! I think it also helps if you share some details about yourself on your blog as to give others a glimpse of who you are as a person and in order to give your blog a sense of personality if that makes sense. Lastly of course is the element of time; I've been posting since the latter part of 2010 so I've had a lot of time to make my blog grow. I hope this helps you and others out there! :)

Lightning & Coconut Trees
I was just browsing through old pictures and I didn't even know I captured lightning while taking photos of this random beach until now. This was taken somewhere in southern Luzon.

Some of your landscape photos look unrealistic because of too much editing. Maybe, just for me. Sorry but I just want to see the raw photos. Can you post them if you don't mind. :) Thanks.
I've been on Tumblr since November 2010 and I believe that you are exactly the second person who has told that my photos are too "edited". Let me show you a quick screenshot of the most recent landscape photo I have posted on here:

I highlighted two portions of the screenshot and let me explain the relevance:
- IMG_2149.CR2 - The file extension is .CR2 which is the format for Canon's RAW images. Meaning this isn't even a jpg image yet. It is basically a digital version of a negative file.
- Camera Raw 7.0 - This is the Photoshop plugin that pops up when you open a RAW file in order for you to process it; hence the various adjustments on the sliders as you can see in the screenshot. At this stage the image hasn't even been processed or touched in any way in Photoshop, all the adjustments are simply to "develop" the raw image.
If you compare the image in the screenshot to what I have posted on my website they're basically pretty much the same already. The only thing I do in Photoshop after fiddling with the settings in Camera Raw is pretty much just adjustments in Color Balance/Curves/Sharpness if needed and resizing it for the web.
I hope I have enlightened you somehow on your misinformed perception of my editing. You are welcome and I hope that this has helped.
what cam do you use?
I use a Canon T2i. Your question just reminded me that it's about time I updated my About / FAQ page so thanks for that!

I always enjoyed seeing photos of items with all the parts laid out!

All the parts are back together again.
Tripod Cleaning Time!
After numerous trips to the sea and being submerged in the salt water, my tripod had a well deserved general cleaning today. Took apart pretty much every thing I could take a part and cleaned and brushed them all and applied lubrication to the little screws and plates. It was quite enjoyable and relaxing honestly! My tripod is good as new again for a couple of years hopefully!

Hey! Just wanted to say that the depth of the shots you take say so much about your personality! :) I admire your photos a lot. Everything's so eyegasmic. Keep on inspiring and taking good photos! :) take care.
What exactly do they say about me then? Haha! Thank you very much for making me smile with your kind words; I will be doing my best as always!
Where or how do you make your gifs? Hehe. Just curious.
I first import the video into Premiere and edit the video over there. Afterwards I import that video from Premiere as layers in Photoshop and save it as a GIF. That's the general idea in order to not make it complicated! Haha. Google can help you out with the specifics if ever you want to try it out for yourself. Hope this helps!

The Moon in the Background
Took a quick picture after we lit our fire for the night as both a bonfire and to grill food later in the evening. Had to setup a wind barrier later on as it was a bit too windy. Too bad though since the wind stopped around midnight and it was sooooo very hot and that's about my only complaint during the trip.
Oh and I have a fun story for you guys, I just got a message a couple of days ago from one of my followers here on tumblr and she said that she was actually there that night we were camping and she wasn't quite sure that it was me but when she saw me post the photos she went ahead and sent me a message to let me know. What a small world!
